The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive content and distribution strategy that elevates the visibility, impact, and program enrollment of the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship (KCE) and the Center for Software Innovation (CSI). Reporting to the AVP for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship, this position is responsible for translating the overarching strategies and goals of KCE and CSI into tactical, high-impact content execution that directly drives engagement.

The position has a focus on strategic execution, including the creation, curation, and targeted distribution of highquality content designed to showcase Ohio State's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and mobilize a range of audiences (including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners) to actively engage with the centers' initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Develop and lead an audience-centric content strategy aligned with Ohio State's brand guidelines and the strategic priorities of both centers.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality content including targeted email campaigns, articles, reports, social media posts, newsletters, web pages, and program-focused digital assets.
  • Quickly create, test and iterate on content- short form video, visual graphics and fliers, one pagers and slide decks, and other formats as are relevant.
  • Take direct accountability for building the multi-faceted acquisition funnels and driving participant attendance/engagement numbers required to meet targets for student startups, a new degree program, an annual conference (Construct I/O) and supporting student and community-facing work.
  • Conduct annual and quarterly content planning, ensuring a strong pipeline of stories and promotional campaigns highlighting programs, student success, and entrepreneurial impact.
  • Translate participants' innovation projects, tech concepts, and entrepreneurship initiatives into engaging, accessible content that serve as examples to inspire action and registration and serve as a support to the centers' strategies.

Audience Mobilization & Program Visibility

  • Lead multi-channel content distribution across the centers' digital platforms, optimizing email channels, websites, and social media to move students from awareness to active event/program participants. This also includes preparing tailored presentations for a variety of audiences (e.g. funding stakeholders, student classes, program sponsors university leadership, etc.)
  • Manage audience segmentation and database amplification strategies to precisely target potential students and community members for specific initiatives.
  • Strengthen content reach and cross-promotional opportunities through strategic cross-campus communications partnerships.

Analytics & Project Management

  • Coordinate closely with Ohio State's Office of Marketing & Communications and Office of Academic Affairs Marketing & Communication to ensure alignment while maintaining distinct operational ownership over the centers' program turnout.
  • Define, monitor, and report back to KCE and CSI leadership on key performance metrics, specifically tracking conversion rates, event attendance, and program enrollment targets.
  • Provide regular data-driven analysis to inform decisionmaking, optimize digital campaign performance, and make recommendations for improving audience growth and retention.
  • Guide and mentor student interns, graduate assistants, or freelance contributors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years of experience in content strategy, digital campaigns, or audience development.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and storytelling.
  • Experience managing multichannel distribution strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEO, analytics tools, and social platforms.
  • Ability to develop visual content through images and video and knowledge of relevant tools such as Figma and Adobe Suite
  • Ability to collaborate within a large, complex organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education enrollment marketing, innovation ecosystems, or incubator/accelerator environments.
  • Knowledge of working within company brand, communications processes, and digital systems.
Additional Information:

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $88,300 - $115,350. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
