Job description

The Carpenter Health Network in Baton Rouge, LA is currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team!

Duties include:

  • Review vendor invoices, verifying proper approvals, and process invoices for payment.
  • Ensure approval levels of all invoices.
  • Ensure invoices and employee reimbursements are paid accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for the disbursement of invoice checks
  • Review Accounts Payable for missing invoices
  • Resolve any vendor discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • At least one year of medical experience, home health or hospice experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems and spreadsheets is essential.
  • Experience using Bill.com preferred.
  • Must be detail-focused, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
