Job description

Job Title: Graduate Assistant Ambassador

Department: Admissions

Supervisor: Courtney Youngblood

Starting Rate of Pay: $12.00

Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.

Department Description

  • The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for recruiting and enrolling freshmen, transfer, and re-admit students.

Job Description

  • Graduate Ambassadors serve as the front-line of customer service for all prospective students and families. These students maintain a thorough knowledge of the university and will develop professional skills in communication, time management, and personal responsibility.

Job Location/ Hours Required

The candidate will perform most/all job duties on campus. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with members of the Admissions team
  • Provides a consistent tour experience for Admissions guests 2-5 times on average per week based on availability
  • Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere on campus during admissions events and daily tours
  • Provides comprehensive customer service to exceed visitors' expectations
  • Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with co-workers, supervisors and other members of the HPU Community
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Required
