Key Responsibilities

Government Account Manager Overview
We are currently hiring for Outbound Government Account Managers.  This exciting opportunity will create end user demand for MRO products and services via the phone.  Successful candidates will manage a new or existing territory and will be responsible to grow categorical sales, increase customer engagement and expand self-service web utilization.  The position requires both relationship building and new business development with our State, Local, and Federal government; including Higher Education and K-12 customers.  Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
•    Ability to complete a high volume of outbound calls that result in increased sales and customer engagement
•    Assist customers with finding solutions that will help them achieve their goals and added value
•    Possessing great communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing customer and business needs
•    Effectively develop and manage your sales plan by setting daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives
•    Demonstrate a strong business acumen
•    Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM Software
•    Work in a remote environment and ability to effectively use collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Zoom

Competencies and skills

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 2 years sales experience
•    Prior sales experience with State, Local and Federal government; including Higher Education and K-12 preferred
•    Knowledge and competence in the major elements of inside sales including cold calling, business development, customer qualification, and customer acquisition
•    Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
•    Self-motivated with superior problem solving and negotiation skills
•    Excellent organization and time management skills are essential
•    Energetic and enthusiastic; comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
