Job description

GovSG is looking for a proven Wargame Engineering or Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to position providing technical support to the MDA Chief Architect's Warfighter/International Integration office (MDA/CAI) in its mission as a point of contact for wargame requirements development, campaign planning and analysis, and to the Warfighter for all engineering and technical issues related to the missile defense system
Position is located on-site Fort Belvoir, VA or Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Serve on the wargame contractor team and lead wargame interface to MDA/CAI customer.
  • Provide missile defense and wargame subject matter expertise to MDA/CAI in their role leading the development of MDA's wargame event requirements and post-wargame analysis and reporting.
  • Assist CAI by providing leadership experience to shape the content of MDA's wargame walk-up events, workshops and capstone events.
  • Provide expertise to CAI in missile defense, wargame doctrine and best practices employed by the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (CCMD), Services and Defense Agencies.
  • Develops wargame research questions and associated Collection, Assessment, and Production plans. Conduct background research and literature reviews in support of wargame design and post-game assessment.
  • Develops requirements for qualitative and quantitative analysis and integrate results into overall wargaming assessment.
  • Coordinates and integrates the application of analytical methods, models, and tools in support of wargame data collection and analysis.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of recorders for capturing wargame data.
  • Conducts post-game assessment, to include leading assessment workshops, conducting data analysis and synthesizing wargame results. Structure and write wargame reports and post-game briefing products.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to travel, to include international locations, may be required.
  • The ability to facilitate large wargame group discussions on behalf of MDA/CAI.
  • Understanding of military science, plans and strategies
  • Familiar with doctrine and warfighting concepts.
  • Understanding of COCOM interactions
  • Understanding of potential operational theatre-based concerns and OP-PLANS
Desired Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience in missile defense-related or other DoD large project systems engineering.
  • Planned and executed wargame\operational exercise support, develop clear and concise written products, and present wargame\exercise and missile defense technical matters to MDA senior leaders and warfighters in support of MDA/CAI.
  • Degree in STEM
  • Able to plan and conduct highly effective working group meetings with over 50+ attendees in support of MDA/CAI wargame\exercise campaigns.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance
Required Education:
  • Master's Degree in STEM field and 12+ years of experience or Bachelors and 20 supporting missile defense programs or other related defense programs.
Travel Requirements: 1-2 weeks per year dependent on customer's requirements.

Salary: $145,000- $165,000. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
