About the position The DRMO Sustainment Lead oversees warehouse personnel and disposition operations to ensure all government property is processed, tracked, and maintained in accordance with applicable Department of Defense regulations, Navy guidance, contractual requirements, and local Standard Operating Procedures. The incumbent utilizes Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Health Inventory Management System (HIMS), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and other authorized logistics systems to maintain accurate accountability of medical assets, Tables of Allowance (TOA), Authorized Medical Allowance Lists (AMALs), Authorized Dental Allowance Lists (ADALs), and other readiness-related inventories. This position serves as the primary liaison between the Program Manager Team, Government Property Administrator, Supply Division, Warehouse Operations, Maintenance Team, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services to ensure timely and compliant processing of excess, obsolete, expired, and unserviceable materiel. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced medical logistics environment. Key Qualifications The DRMO Sustainment Lead shall support the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) mission by ensuring the timely identification, processing, redistribution, reutilization, and disposal of excess, obsolete, expired, damaged, and unserviceable medical materiel, equipment, and government property. The incumbent will maintain operational readiness by coordinating disposition activities that directly support Expeditionary Medical Systems (EXMEDS), warehouse operations, deployment readiness programs, and lifecycle sustainment requirements. The DRMO Sustainment Lead is expected to: * Support NMRLC medical logistics readiness objectives through efficient disposition and reutilization of government assets. * Coordinate with NMRLC Supply, Warehouse, Maintenance, Production, and Readiness personnel to ensure property accountability and disposal actions are completed in accordance with mission requirements. * Process expired, obsolete, excess, and unserviceable medical materiel in accordance with DLA Disposition Services procedures and applicable DoD regulations. * Ensure accurate tracking and accountability of medical equipment, Civil Engineer End Items (CEEI), Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE), expeditionary tool kits, containers, shelters, and associated government-furnished property. * Maintain audit-ready records supporting inventory control, readiness reporting, and government property accountability requirements. * Utilize DMLSS, DPAS, and other Government logistics systems to document disposition transactions and maintain accurate asset records. * Support inventory reduction initiatives and backlog elimination efforts through systematic processing of excess and obsolete materiel. * Ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials and hazardous waste in compliance with federal, state, local, Navy, and environmental regulations. * Maintain responsiveness to contingency operations, deployment surges, exercises, humanitarian missions, and real-world medical readiness requirements. * Support continuous process improvement initiatives designed to increase inventory accuracy, reduce excess materiel, improve readiness metrics, and maximize reutilization opportunities. * Serve as the primary subject matter expert for all disposition and reutilization activities during Government audits, inspections, inventories, and property reviews. Performance Expectations * Maintain 100% accountability of all property assigned for disposition. * Achieve established disposition processing timelines and inventory accuracy metrics. * Successfully support annual, cyclic, and special inventories with minimal discrepancies. * Ensure all disposition transactions are completed accurately and documented within required Government systems. * Maintain compliance with FAR, DFARS, DoD property management regulations, DLA Disposition Services guidance, and NMRLC Standard Operating Procedures. * Support NMRLC's medical readiness mission by minimizing excess inventory, maximizing reutilization, and ensuring rapid availability of mission-essential medical materiel. Qualifications Required Qualifications * High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. * Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in medical logistics, supply chain management, warehouse operations, or military logistics. * Minimum five (3) years of management or supervisory experience leading logistics personnel and operations. * Extensive experience with DMLSS, HIMS, GCSS, or other military and healthcare logistics management systems. * Strong knowledge of DoD medical logistics policies, inventory management principles, supply accountability, and warehouse operations. * Experience managing deployable medical systems, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare supply chains preferred. * Valid driver's license required. * Ability to obtain and maintain any required government credentials, certifications, or security clearances. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Advanced knowledge of medical logistics and supply chain management principles. * Strong leadership, organizational, and team-building skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software. * Ability to analyze operational data and develop effective solutions. * Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in dynamic environments. Physical Requirements * Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout warehouse and operational environments. * Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. * Ability to work in warehouses, field, deployment, and austere environments as required. * Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and hard hats. * Ability to travel occasionally in support of operational requirements.
