Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) — Tacoma, Washington

A nationally recognized, value-based healthcare organization is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join its collaborative primary care team in Tacoma, Washington. Providers are supported by an interdisciplinary care team, including an onsite Health Coach, allowing physicians to focus on delivering comprehensive, whole-person care rather than high-volume patient visits.

Schedule

  • Full-time outpatient schedule
  • 10–15 patients per day
  • Appointment lengths ranging from 20–60 minutes

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Focus on preventive medicine and long-term wellness
  • Develop personalized treatment plans using a whole-person approach
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including Health Coaches
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and medication management
  • Utilize onsite laboratory and pharmacy services to streamline patient care
  • Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement programs
  • Engage patients in wellness visits, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Participate in provider meetings, committee work, and process improvement initiatives
  • Help achieve organizational goals related to quality, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency
  • Minimum of 3 years of primary care experience
  • Active, unrestricted Washington medical license (or ability to obtain licensure)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test within 12 months of start date
  • Experience working in a team-based care environment
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Athena experience preferred)
  • Experience with coding, documentation, Medicare Advantage, and HCC coding preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred
