Job description

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
A person responsible for one or more programs or projects, providing professional support for service development, including advising, monitoring, and supporting various stakeholders.

They conduct the research necessary to identify and assess resources and needs. They design and propose development plans and programs to ensure adequate service planning. They provide advice on the implementation or improvement of programs and/or services. They may participate in various teaching and training activities.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
• Facilitate communication among all key stakeholders of the CBHSSJB, the Ministry, communities, and consultants;
• Follow an established project management system and ensure that all key stages are completed, from assessment through final approval and payment, for clinical infrastructure projects;
• Collaborate and work closely with every Department to ensure that all projects meet client needs;
• Work closely with PMO-IT to ensure that all projects align with client requirements;
• Maintain ongoing progress reports for all clinical projects;
• Ensure that all required approvals and authorizations are obtained before, during, and after project implementation;
• Provide the Manager with an annual report on clinical projects;
• Negotiate with local administrations, when necessary, to define the requirements of specific clinical projects;
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant academic discipline such as Nursing, business administration, or social sciences;
• Certificate in administration is an asset.

Experience:
• Three (3) years of relevant experience;
• One (1) year of clinical experience, particularly in nursing, in a medical laboratory or in radiology, is a major asset;
• Experience in project management is an asset.

Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good knowledge of MSSS legislation, regulations, the Ministry Network and programs, and current trends;
• Knowledge in Project management technics;
• Knowledge of clinical services given in a hospital setting and the relationships between services;
• Knowledge of First Nation health/social service models, trends and issues is an asset;
• Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
• Excellent planning and decision making skills;
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

LANGUAGE
• Fluent in English and French;
• Fluency in Cree is an asset.

OTHER
• Available to travel inside and outside of the Eeyou Istchee territory as required.
