Role Summary

In this position, you will plays a crucial role in managing projects with interconnected tasks across various teams in a compressed timeframe. This role involves supporting the Thermal engineering team to lead the Rivian development process for Thermal components for current and future vehicles. The location of the role will be Plymouth, MI or Irvine, CA. This role will report to the Thermal Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager.


Responsibilities

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:


• Generating component-level timelines that align with the major milestones of the Thermal system and vehicle timing plan.
• Maintaining and managing all open issues to resolution.
• Coordinating supplier sourcing activities to ensure all major program milestones are met.
• Communicating program health and escalating risks as needed.
• Support all development build events and ensuring component readiness.
• Lead cost saving initiatives.
• Maintaining project timelines and ensuring all major program milestones a achieved on time.
• Ensuring program profitability and mass targets are met.
• Coordinating tooling kick-off with vendors and ensuring timely delivery.
• Supporting quote activity for new programs and engineering changes.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact program delivery.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business and 3-years if equivalent experience in Program Management within the Automotive industry.
• 3+ years of project/program management or related experience
• Experience and knowledge of Thermal product development is a bonus, but not required.
• Experience working in tools such as Jira, Confluence and Google docs, sheets and slides.


Pay Disclosure

Salary Range Irvine-Based Applicants: $121,500-$151,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range Plymouth-Based Applicants: $111,000-$138,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).


Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.
