Job description

This position is responsible for the optimization and support of our retail operations and strategy through data-driven analytics. This includes forecasting, budgeting, and modeling of retail KPI’s to include sales, labor, and inventory as well as the creation of actionable insights and reporting for the retail teams. The Retail Business Analytics Manager will work closely with cross functional partners including Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT. This position will report to the Director of Retail and Contact Center Operations.

At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based at our headquarters near Madison, WI. You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays if you prefer.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Advanced Data Analytics: Leveraging descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics to drive and support business decisions. 
  • Database Querying: Ability to proficiently extract, clean and manipulate large datasets. 
  • Data Visualization: Develop, maintain and optimize dashboards and recurring reports that teams can utilize to drive business results and efficiency.
  • Optimizing Efficiency: Automating reporting and processes to drive improved efficiency and effectiveness, allowing store teams more time to serve our customers.
  • Inventory Productivity: Create and maintain tools and analysis to maximize inventory performance and limit liability. 
  • Labor Management: Works closely with field teams to forecast and budget retail labor, helping to ensure monthly and quarterly targets are achieved.  
  • Retail Field Support: Support district and store teams through reporting and analysis to improve processes, execution and the customer experience. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar field of study - Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 5+ Years of experience 
  • 1+ Years of management experience 
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and advanced database querying
  • Knowledge of general retail operations
  • Ability to work well with cross functional internal partners as well as external partners (vendors)
  • Experience in developing operational strategies
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication
  • Sense of urgency in accomplishing objectives
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Position Compensation Outline 

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $110,000year 

This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus program. 

Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience, and qualifications. Benefits and perks may have eligibility requirements and are subject to change.
