Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience coding in ABAP.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • Experience implementing, customizing and integrating third-party applications within Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, etc.
  • Excellent people, communication and analytical skills with a demonstrable bias toward action.
  • Participation in multiple full system implementation life cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, develop overall systems design, research, evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
  • Build internal solutions, with custom front-end and back-end services with minimal assistance, and identify processes and solutions to ensure controls compliance can be enforced and monitored.
  • Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support Google's technology lifecycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence.
  • Conduct and oversee testing of application modules to ensure the application meets specifications, and collaborate with analysts and business process owners within one or more teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions.
