Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead the architecture and transformation of a large-scale Finance Data Platform.
This role will drive end-to-end architecture strategy, integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance, GCP BigQuery-based data platforms, and downstream planning/reporting ecosystems (Anaplan, SAC, Power BI, Tableau) while ensuring enterprise-grade scalability, governance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
  • Define and own enterprise architecture blueprint for Finance Data Platform:
    • SAP S/4HANA (CFIN, FI/CO, GL, COPA)
    • GCP-based data Lakehouse (BigQuery-centric architecture)
  • Develop architecture decision records (ADRs) and ensure audit-ready documentation
  • Establish target-state architecture for driver-based planning and reporting ecosystem

SAP S/4HANA Integration & Finance Architecture
  • Lead architecture for:
    • S/4HANA Finance data extraction (actuals, master data)
    • Central Finance (CFIN) integration patterns
    • SAP to GCP replication (SLT, CDS, APIs, batch patterns)
  • Ensure semantic alignment of financial data models (GL, cost center, profit center hierarchies)

GCP Data Platform Architecture
  • Architect BigQuery as centralized finance data hub
  • Define:
    • Data ingestion patterns (batch + near real-time)
    • Transformation pipelines (Dataflow / Dataproc / SQL ELT)
    • Metric layer strategies (pipeline vs feature store vs semantic layer)
  • Lead design of:
    • Curated finance datasets (gold layer)
    • Reusable metrics layer (e.g., Operating Income, EBITDA)

Planning & Analytics Ecosystem
  • Architect integrations across:
    • Anaplan (driver-based planning)
    • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
    • Tableau / Power BI / Sigma
  • Define:
    • Data contracts
    • Aggregation strategies
    • Write-back patterns (if applicable)

Custom UI & Advanced Reporting
  • Define architecture for:
    • Pixel-perfect financial statements
  • Ensure implementation of:
    • Azure AD-based role-based access control (RBAC)
    • Cost center / entity-based security models

AI / Advanced Capabilities
  • Enable roadmap for:
  • Integrate:
    • Model-ready datasets on GCP

Data Governance & Quality
  • Define enterprise data governance strategy:

Required Qualifications
Experience
  • 12+ years in enterprise architecture roles
  • 5+ years' deep experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO, CFIN)
  • 5+ years' hands-on experience in GCP data engineering and architecture
  • Experience in Fortune 100 / large healthcare, retail, or PBM environments
