  • 5 years of experience in operations or business management, and vendor management.
  • 5 years of experience using analytics or applying project management tools to address business issues.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, with experience in operations/business management and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI applications, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence people to contribute to continuous improvement of operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and experience in applying project management tools.

About the job
As a Vendor Manager on the gUP Operations team, you will manage a team of vendors based across the globe that support scaling efforts across cross-functional teams for new Google products and service offerings. In this role, you will use project and vendor management skills to recommend solutions that help improve evolving workflows and prepare them for scaling. You will manage a portfolio of vendor workflows that support process excellence, contribute to the long-term operational strategy and support model, and drive continuous improvement across business processes.
In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $105000 - $151000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Manage financials, metrics, and workflow allocation for global vendor operations projects across multiple geographies, suppliers, and platforms. Review vendor data, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive improvement in vendor performance (SLA compliance, MBRs, and QBRs).
  • Drive large-scale, complex projects spanning multiple sites and suppliers, managing project execution and stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as a liaison for multiple vendor groups to identify process opportunities and work with teams to streamline operations, drive operational excellence, and remove redundancies in processes and handoffs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, the Center of Excellence, vendor partners, and business stakeholders to review volume trends, forecasting, and capacity planning.
  • Set up and drive monthly governance forums to review what is working well, what needs improvement, and proposed action plans.
