Job Summary:
eTeam is seeking a Core Google Cloud Architect to lead their cloud transformation efforts. The role involves high-level design of the Google Cloud environment, focusing on security, performance, and cost-effectiveness for a financial client.
Responsibilities:
• Cloud foundations is being stood up for a financial client. We are looking for a leader who is not to be told what to do. It is to identify what is missing. Are we thinking about security, threat management, logging. We need to make sure networks, IAM services are secure. The client is technical and looking for leadership who can talk in depth about Google Landing Zone, Security, Service Hardening.
• Performance & Cost Scaling: Ensure our cloud grows with us. You'll design systems that automatically get bigger during busy times and smaller during quiet times to save money.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the final thumbs up or thumbs down on major technical decisions, ensuring they align with our long-term business goals.
• The Big Picture Thinker: You can see how a single change in a database might affect the entire global network.
• Deep GCP Expertise: You are intimately familiar with Google’s core services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, Spanner, and BigQuery).
• Experience with Scale: You’ve designed cloud systems and landing zones for large financial companies before and know how to handle high volumes of data and users.
• Bridge Builder: You can sit in a room with a chief architect, a security officer, and a CFO, and make sure all three walk away happy with the plan. Communication skills are a must.
Qualifications:

• Deep GCP Expertise: You are intimately familiar with Google’s core services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, Spanner, and BigQuery).
• Experience with Scale: You’ve designed cloud systems and landing zones for large financial companies before and know how to handle high volumes of data and users.
• Bridge Builder: You can sit in a room with a chief architect, a security officer, and a CFO, and make sure all three walk away happy with the plan. Communication skills are a must.
Preferred:
• Certifications: A GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly preferred for this role.
