Director, Product Management- Google AI Products

About the Team

Join us as we redefine the future of work at Capital One by harnessing the power of AI. As the Director of Product Management for Google AI Products, you will lead a team of product managers responsible for bringing Google's cutting-edge AI products to meet the knowledge, productivity, and collaboration needs of our 100,000+ associates and non-associates. You will focus on three priority areas that all have direct visibility to our CEO:

  • Adoption: Drive usage and measurable business value from the Google AI products already launched across Capital One.

  • Experimentation: Test new AI products as Google brings them to market, evaluate their capabilities and enterprise controls, build a quantifiable case for value to Capital One, and align with executive leadership (CEO level) on which ones we will scale across the enterprise

  • Scaling: Launch products that graduate from our experimentation sandbox to our entire associate and non-associate population once we have conviction on their value.

You will work closely with Google's product leadership influencing their roadmap to align with our enterprise needs and acting as a bridge to ensure we are first-in-line for alpha and beta releases. Beyond the tech, you will lead the cultural shift required for 100,000+ associates to successfully integrate AI into their daily workflows. Most importantly, you will build, mentor and grow a high-performing team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers, fostering a culture of rapid experimentation and high product velocity.

In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience working in Product Management

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Product Management


McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Product Management


New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Product Management


Richmond, VA: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Product Management








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
