ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Site Superintendent, you will oversee the execution of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and exceeds quality expectations. 

You will lead subcontractors, manage schedules, control costs, value engineer, bring creative solutions to problems, and ensure full compliance with regulations while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY

  • Own the success of assigned projects by driving efficiency, quality, and profitability.

  • Lead teams with confidence and accountability; ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

  • Identify risks early and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project manager, with the goal of ensuring seamless coordination.

  • Foster a high-performance culture; mentoring field crew.

PROJECT EXECUTION & OVERSIGHT

  • Review contract documents, blueprints, and regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance.

  • Oversee Site Superintendents, ensuring work aligns with plans, budgets, and schedules.

  • Manage subcontractor performance, holding teams accountable for quality standards and timelines.

  • Maintain meticulous records, including RFIs, change orders, schedules, and budget reports.

  • Drive job site efficiency, working closely with Superintendents and trade partners.

FINANCIAL & OPERATIONAL CONTROL

  • Develop and manage pre-established schedules, budgets, and cost controls to maximize profitability.

  • Review and execute vendor contracts, change orders and creative solutions to optimize resources.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion for subcontractor scopes to ensure projects stay on schedule and billing remains robust.

  • Identify areas for cost savings and operational improvements without sacrificing quality.

PERMITS, COMPLIANCE & SAFETY

  • Oversee all inspections pertaining to your assigned site

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and maintain job site integrity.

  • Stay ahead of building codes, industry best practices, and new technologies to keep Popularis Construction at the forefront.

WHAT YOU BRING

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

  • 5-10 years of proven success as a Site Superintendent 

  • Experience in both commercial and high end residential construction

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, budgeting, schedule sequencing, and risk management.

  • Deep knowledge of building codes, regulations, and contract administration.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute blueprints and technical project documents.

SKILLS & TECHNOLOGY

  • Proficiency in JobTread, Bluebeam, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Excel, and Microsoft Word.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • A mindset for process improvement, efficiency, and results-driven execution.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license (Massachusetts or bordering state) and legally insured vehicle for site visits.
