Job description

Are you extremely organized, good at communicating, and the type of person who likes keeping things moving?

A1 Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Construction Coordinator to help manage the day-to-day coordination behind our residential new-construction operations. You'll work directly with our Production Manager to help keep jobs scheduled, inspections completed, permits moving, materials available, and builders informed.

This is a high-communication, high-organization position where your work directly impacts how efficiently our construction projects move through production.

What You'll Do

You'll help coordinate the administrative side of our construction operation, including:

  • Communicating with builders about schedules and schedule changes
  • Coordinating inspections and following up on inspection requirements
  • Creating and maintaining job write-ups and production documentation
  • Filing and tracking permits
  • Ordering HVAC equipment and materials
  • Monitoring equipment and material needs for upcoming jobs
  • Communicating changes and job information to production personnel
  • Following up with builders, vendors, inspectors, and internal employees
  • Keeping job records and documentation organized and current
  • Assisting the Production Manager with additional scheduling, production, and administrative responsibilities

You'll Be Successful Here If You:

  • Are highly organized and naturally follow up on unfinished items
  • Can keep track of multiple jobs without losing important details
  • Communicate professionally by phone and email
  • Are comfortable working in an environment where schedules change frequently
  • Take ownership instead of waiting to be reminded
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Enjoy solving small problems before they become large ones

Previous experience in residential construction, HVAC, permitting, scheduling, purchasing, project coordination, office administration, or builder coordination is a plus.

HVAC experience is preferred but is not required for someone with strong organizational and communication skills who can learn our processes.
