X Applicants in San Francisco: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
Minimum qualifications:
  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • 7 years of experience with legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, including addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with affirmative litigation, including through industry associations.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, such as State Attorneys General, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DoJ), and other content and media/consumer protection authorities.
  • Experience coordinating across multi-jurisdictional regulatory and civil inquiries, driving consistent strategy and accuracy.
  • Experience working with public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
  • Familiarity with other regulators across the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

You will define a defense strategy, conduct investigations, collect and review information, and represent the company in engagements.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Lead responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, litigation, enforcement actions, and overlapping civil matters.
  • Oversee the collection and production of accurate information in external submissions and disclosures.
  • Provide legal advice on incidents and government and regulatory audits and exams.
