Job description

Description
Looking for a job where you can stay active, work with an awesome team, and make a real impact in your community every single day? At Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, we're more than a retail store - we're a mission-driven organization focused on empowering individuals, strengthening families, and inspiring communities.
As a Full-Time Hanger, you'll play an important role in keeping our store organized, stocked, and customer-ready while helping support programs that change lives throughout our region. If you enjoy staying busy, working in a fast-paced environment, and taking pride in your work, this could be the perfect fit for you.
In this role, you'll tag, size, sort, and hang apparel onto racks by category while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area. You'll inspect donations for quality, checking for stains, tears, odors, broken zippers, missing buttons, and other issues to ensure only quality merchandise reaches the sales floor. Team members are expected to maintain productivity goals of 60+ pieces per hour while helping process donations quickly and efficiently to keep inventory fresh and full for our shoppers.
Customer service is a huge part of what we do. We believe donors and shoppers should feel welcomed within 10 seconds, and every donation should be handled with care and purpose. You'll help create positive experiences for donors and customers while supporting our DURT (Donor Urgent Response Team) principles and maintaining Goodwill's commitment to world-class service.
We're looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively, maintain positive working relationships, and bring a friendly attitude to work each day. The ability to read, write, and communicate verbally is required. Retail or production experience is helpful, but we're happy to train motivated individuals who are ready to learn and grow.
This position is active and hands-on. Team members regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, and move merchandise throughout the day. The ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, with assistance for heavier items, is required.
At Goodwill, we invest in our people. Full-time employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for an outstanding benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO starting on day one, paid holidays, retirement savings with employer match, employee discounts, free confidential Employee Assistance Program services, educational assistance, career development opportunities, and more.
Our culture is built around teamwork, growth, respect, and purpose. We believe every team member contributes to something bigger than themselves - helping people reach their fullest potential while strengthening the communities we serve.
Ready to join a team where your work truly matters? Apply today through the Goodwill Industries of the Valleys careers page and start building a career with purpose.
