MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Payroll Accountant to join our Accounting team! Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees is preferred. 
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
  • Process and prepare bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the payroll cycle.
  • Administer payroll-related functions, including garnishments, ACA tracking, and check processing.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Review payroll reports and deductions to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and payroll-related accounting processes.
  • Support the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings, including W-2 forms.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger.
  • Other duties as assigned.
