POSITION
Membership Sales Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Membership Sales Manager is responsible for driving membership growth, retention, and revenue through strategic prospecting, relationship-building, and sales execution. This role manages the full membership sales cycle-from lead generation and tours to closing and onboarding-while ensuring an exceptional, brand-aligned experience for prospective and current members.
This position plays a key role in achieving overall club revenue goals and enhancing the membership culture and community.
REPORTS TO
Sr. Sales Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Develop and execute a strategic membership sales plan to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Generate new leads through networking, referrals, community engagement, and events.
  • Manage inbound inquiries and convert prospects into active members.
  • Conduct personalized property tours and presentations highlighting amenities, lifestyle benefits, and value.
  • Prepare and present membership proposals and agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM system and track sales pipeline metrics.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales quotas.

Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and current members.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new members.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or upgrading membership categories.
  • Support retention initiatives and assist with member renewals.

Marketing & Promotion
  • Partner with Marketing to develop membership campaigns, promotions, and referral programs.
  • Represent the club at community functions and networking events.
  • Assist in planning and hosting membership events and open houses.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and competitor offerings.

Administrative & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate contracts, deposits, and documentation.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasting.
  • Monitor membership inventory and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with membership policies and financial procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience (private club, hospitality, golf, real estate, or luxury services preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and events as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift more than 25lbs. Physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure at a fast pace are essential. Must have the mental fortitude to handle the pressures of multiple tasks while providing excellent guest service.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Primarily office-based with frequent on-property tours and event participation.
