ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead product planning, briefing and execution from concept through commercialization and end of product lifecycle.
  • Build product assortments that achieve objectives for consumer segmentation, pricing, positioning, revenue, margin, SKU productivity and market share.
  • Create comprehensive product briefs under DSPD, incorporating consumer, competitive, market, retail, digital and global insights, along with financial objectives including forecasted volume, revenue, target pricing and margin.
  • Master Centric PLM and Asana, utilizing both systems to manage product information, drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure timely execution throughout the product creation process.
  • Develop and maintain the Visual Line Plan (VLP), providing category revenue projections and supporting product portfolio decisions.
  • Identify product opportunities through market trends, competitive benchmarking, consumer insights and emerging technologies to drive meaningful innovation across the category.
  • Partner with Product Development to ensure products meet performance expectations, quality standards and development milestones while delivering innovative solutions for the golfer.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new customization capabilities across the Performance Gear product line.
  • Collaborate with Planning to support forecasting, inventory management and product lifecycle planning to maximize sales and minimize obsolescence.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop compelling product positioning, product stories and go-to-market strategies that clearly communicate consumer benefits and category differentiation.
  • Evaluate and manage special make-up requests for regional teams, professional tours and limited-edition programs, ensuring alignment with brand, financial and operational objectives.
  • Visit domestic and international suppliers to review product development, evaluate manufacturing capabilities, ensure production quality and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Design, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Planning, Commercialization, Legal and regional Product teams to ensure successful execution throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with global partners to develop products that meet regional market needs while maintaining alignment with Callaway and OGIO's golf's global Gear strategy.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and category strategies to regional teams, sales organizations, key customers and leadership worldwide.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Solid understanding of product line management systems (Centric, Asana preferred).
  • Proficient analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Able to effectively work as a part of a team toward meeting company goals.
  • Ability to gain cooperation of functional counter-parts or others to achieve assigned objectives.
  • Strong understanding of product profitability and inventory management.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Skilled at solving complex problems and implementing solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and Project Management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Thorough knowledge of golf accessories category technologies and general manufacturing principles.
  • Solid knowledge of consumer fashion motivation as it relates to the golfing population.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management/Development experience with direct involvement with Manufacturing, suppliers, and new products development.
  • Fashion Design experience supporting a consumer brand preferred, golf experience is a plus.
