Job Description
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, provide excellent customer service, operate the point-of-sale system in an efficient manner, and assist in directing outside services when necessary.
SUPERVISION:
Reports To: Golf Professional
Supervises: none
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Greet and welcome the golfing public in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Provide City of Renton forms and policy information to the public.
  • Organize merchandise and operate point of sale system.
  • Direct marshal and cart staff as required.
  • Wash and stage golf carts as required.
  • Perform duties of range picker as assigned.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • One year of retail sales experience.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license.
  • Successful passing of a background check and credit check.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Point of sale and till reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of game of golf.
  • Ability to operate driving range equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:
  • Ensure effective, professional, and respectful interactions with customers and staff at all times.
  • Maintain positive and open communication with staff and management.
  • Demonstrate appropriate judgment when solving problems and making decisions.
  • Understand and follow direction given.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to the department, facility, and program's policies; health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures; and be ready to implement these if necessary.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors with the possibility of inclement weather.
  • Work evenings and/or weekends as assigned.
