Asset and Wealth Management (AWM)

Private Wealth Management (PWM)
Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.
Private Wealth Management secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client's particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.
Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) works in coordination with Private Wealth Advisors to develop strong ties with clients to deliver a full suite of wealth planning and family office services. GSFO is in search of an Analyst to work closely with PWAs in delivering Lifestyle Services to clients and help with business development initiatives. We are looking for a hard-working and client-friendly individual with background in wealth management and / or family office services.
Client Success:
  • Serve as primary contact for Lifestyle Services across PWA teams, clients and third-party partners.
  • Identify opportunities, drive best practices, and ensure the highest quality of services.
  • Become a subject matter expert for multiple service offerings including cyber and physical security, domestic staff recruitment, travel, education consultants, medical advisory, etc.
  • Work closely with Family Office senior leadership to support special projects and business development initiatives to enhance the broader GS Family Office offering, including creating scalable solutions, evaluating new service offerings for expansion, and executing opportunities that advance the commercial impact of our business.
  • Partner with PWM teams to manage the client lifecycle throughout their relationship with the vendor, from preliminary marketing, needs evaluation, introductions, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Facilitate client introductions with respective PWA teams and third-party service providers, to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and key stakeholders to drive engagement, loyalty and retention.
  • Collaborate, problem-solve, and/or strategize with PWA teams on how best to deliver a solution.
  • Track and resolve client requests and feedback.
  • Foster a client-centric team environment.

Business Development:
  • Help clients understand the benefits and considerations of each service and set proper expectation management. Support the team to identify, evaluate and develop best in class third-party partnerships and become the relationship owner with senior third-party contacts.
  • Develop, document, and continually enhance processes to maximize efficiency in constantly evolving environments and as the vendor relationship evolves.
  • Responsible for new service offering launches, rollout, and ongoing management of services. Act as the champion for the service offering, getting PWA teams and clients excited about upcoming product launches and updates.
  • Define success criteria and core metrics across each vendor partner, including leading indicators which will be used to evaluate overall business performance.
  • Stay up to date on all internal and external technology partners while keeping an open mind on leveraging technology and services to build efficiencies for both the firm and our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience in a client facing role (Family office, wealth management, or other experience working with high-net-worth families, is preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to exceed clients' expectations.
  • Understanding of financial and performance reporting within wealth management
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; strong logical thinker.
  • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.
  • High accountability, Self-motivated, and able to balance quality work while meeting short deadlines.
  • Deep interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & Series 63 exams (must be obtained within first 3 months of employment)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $75000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
