Folder/Gluer Machine Operator – 1st Shift

Position Summary

Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up orders, maintenance and clean up; efficiently producing products of acceptable quality in according to customer specifications and converting sheets of corrugated into boxes.

All job responsibilities are to be performed in strict adherence with the Company’s Mission/Values Statement and in accordance with established standards for external customers as well as internal customers.

  1.  Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
  2. Review stock to assure the correct specifications.
  3. Adjust adhesive.
  4. Follow all set up and quality checks in accordance to the standard operating procedure manual.
  5. Set heads, pull sheets, change glue heads, move top folding rails, set calipers, set side guides and fingers, feed machine while in operation, and grease the machine are examples of set up procedures that must be included in the general set up.
  6. Perform preventative maintenance on machine and area, including cleaning.
  7. During production, constantly check the quality of work being produced.
  1. Check count to be sure of the correct quantity and set up for the next order.
  2. Responsible for proper documentation in the reporting system.
  3. Responsible for the end product going to the customer.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe production area while operating at high production levels.
  5. Assist in training new employees to perform all duties of the job.
  6. Work overtime as required.
  7. Performs a variety of miscellaneous job-related tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time by a Management Representative.

Pay/Schedule

  • $24/hour - $28/hour depending on experience and qualifications 
  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday from 6:15am to 2:45pm
