MGD Print Production Packout - Gluer
Position Summary
The Packout Gluer for Middlestreet Graphics provides assistance of graphic and display production jobs so that the company can meet its production and profitability goals. This position may be responsible for packout operations, operating inline/straight-line gluing equipment, and other finishing equipment to produce high-quality finished products while meeting production, quality, and customer expectations.
Job Duties
  • Prepares finished goods (e.g., signs, POP displays, banners, shelf talkers, fleet graphics) for pack out and shipment according to job-specific standards.
  • Set up and run packout lines and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest level of productivity.
  • Set up, operate, and make adjustments to inline/straight-line gluing equipment to meet production specifications and quality expectations.
  • Operate and maintain finishing equipment, including but not limited to Moll, Bobst, Lamina, and other related production equipment as assigned.
  • Read and follow job tickets, layouts, Artios CAD drawings, and production schedules to ensure accurate production and completion of customer orders.
  • Work with and lead associates as well as temporary workers to establish a team environment.
  • Organize products and materials to facilitate storage and shipment according to established company standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of POS materials using related equipment and assemble final materials according to standards.
  • Perform print quality control as well as assembly, gluing, and kit packing quality control and record results on QC sheets.
  • Monitor quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper glue application, alignment, folding, assembly, and overall finished product quality.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to maximize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Prepare and coordinate all job ticket processes prior to shipment and determine the best method of shipment.
  • Problem solve and make necessary adjustments to ensure all client expectations are met.
  • Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and management regarding the status of work activities and production issues.
  • Assist employees with needs or issues that arise and report concerns to supervision.
  • Hold employees accountable for assigned responsibilities and ensure they remain on task.
  • Maintain work areas, equipment, and materials in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures, including OSHA and safety requirements, and wear all required PPE.
  • Work and navigate within a warehouse management system.
  • Ensure outbound material has proper paperwork and meets shipping expectations.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including forklifts and motorized pallet jacks, in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Work assigned schedules, exhibit regular and predictable attendance, and work overtime as needed to meet workload demands.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Previous packout, finishing, or production experience is preferred. Experience operating folder-gluer, inline/straight-line gluer, or Point of Sale production equipment is strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must be able to read and understand Artios CAD drawings, job specifications, layouts, and measurements accurately.
Certifications & Licenses: Must be able to be trained to operate a forklift, pallet rider, and/or pallet jack.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of packout and distribution environments; beverage industry experience preferred; inventory systems knowledge. Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach. Ability to operate forklifts and graphic finishing equipment, including gluing equipment.
