As the Staff Technical Talent Sourcer, you will source specialized, highly technical candidates whilst interacting with Recruiters, Coordinators, hiring managers, and hiring teams.


This is a full-time position reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, Global Talent Sourcing. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy's Brooklyn Office Hub may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Technical recruitment for various teams at Etsy, primarily in DSML.

  • Identifying/engaging passive talent within specific target niches.

  • Partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Team and Engineering/Product stakeholders/leadership to deeply understand their hiring needs while making hiring recommendations, support events, and to build strategy beyond just the current role.

  • Tracking pipeline data and providing relevant updates to partners on all roles/projects supported.

  • Supporting the full-cycle recruiting process, building strong diverse pipelines, sourcing passive candidates while developing how we better achieve our team goals overall.

  • Building strong internal relationships and work cross functionally with the greater HR teams (including but not limited to, HR Business Partners, Compensation, etc.).

  • Acting as an internal and external-facing representative of Etsy and our talent acquisition team.

  • Ensuring hiring manager and team preparedness during the interview process and that interviews are conducted efficiently and professionally.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 7+ years of recruiting and/or screening experience of engineering talent at high growth tech companies or similar.

  • An ability to confidently represent the company with professionalism and courtesy both internally and externally.

  • Experience consulting with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process

  • Passion for sourcing passive and diverse talent, and mapping out the market

  • The ability to prioritize and work well in a fast paced environment with competing demands.

  • Able to balance the demands of live roles with proactive, collaborative & impactful project work

  • Familiarity with WorkdayRecruit or equivalent ATS experience.
