Job Description
The Senior Director, Global Strategic Sourcing - Direct Categories will lead and drive a Center of Excellence for strategic sourcing across all Money Processing, Retail Solutions, Fleet, Transportation and Brinks Global Services categories on a global scale. This senior leadership role will partner with Operations, Finance, and key internal stakeholders to develop and execute advanced sourcing strategies that optimize service levels, deliver significant cost reductions, and foster continuous improvement across the global supply chain. As the sourcing leader in this category, the incumbent will provide visionary leadership in developing long-term sourcing strategies, building global sourcing capabilities, and ensuring robust supplier partnerships that support Brink's business objectives across multiple regions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead global sourcing efforts across all Direct categories, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, operational excellence, and financial goals.
  • Develop, articulate, and execute global category strategies that support Brink's long-term growth, savings and profitability, with an emphasis on driving value, innovation, and competitive advantage.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for Sourcing/Procurement savings for the organization. Drive to eliminate the waste in the process to speed up the Supplier Engagement or contracting or re-contracting tailored to achieving such savings as quickly as possible.
  • Establish aggressive, multi-year targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for sourcing activities, delivering year-over-year cost savings, service level improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee the creation of a comprehensive 3-5 year strategic roadmap for the Money Processing and Retail Solutions category, ensuring all initiatives are aligned with business priorities and have executive-level buy-in.
  • Directly lead Global Strategic Sourcing Leads and manage a cross-functional team of sourcing professionals and overseeing supplier performance, contract negotiations, and global sourcing initiatives.
  • Guide the effort to establish global procurement platform, aligned to sourcing strategies and policies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across all business functions to align sourcing strategies with broader organizational goals, providing leadership in both strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • Provide expert-level knowledge of the market, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that can drive significant business value.
  • Develop and implement global sourcing processes and policies that reflect industry best practices, compliance, and governance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including global and regional operations, finance, and legal, to ensure cross-functional collaboration and alignment in sourcing decisions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that sourcing initiatives consistently deliver on both financial and operational performance targets.
  • Lead cross-regional teams to successfully implement global sourcing strategies, balancing local needs with global optimization opportunities.
  • Provide executive-level communication and reporting on strategic sourcing initiatives, market trends, and financial performance.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a proven track record of leading global sourcing initiatives in a complex, multi-country environment.
  • 5+ years of experience at a senior leadership level, managing large-scale sourcing functions and complex global supplier portfolios.
  • Expertise in developing and executing complex category strategies that span multiple countries and regions, with the ability to navigate cultural, regulatory, and operational differences.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment with key stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Legal, Senior Leadership).
  • Extensive experience in global contract negotiation, including the ability to structure and negotiate highly complex agreements with strategic suppliers.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics and spend management, utilizing global spend data to identify and act on strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • In-depth understanding of total cost of ownership principles, cost modeling, and the ability to analyze cost drivers across global supply chains.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, market conditions, and global sourcing trends, with the ability to anticipate changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to influence at the executive level, with experience presenting to senior leadership and steering committees.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives and influencing organizational transformation through sourcing.
  • Experience in managing multi-million dollar budgets and driving financial performance against targets.
