Primary Purpose:

At ChemPoint, we focus on account management and retention of our valued customer base. This essential function is handled by a Sales Manager who is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary sales team. The Sales Manager responsibility is to develop, implement, and execute strategic plans to retain and grow global sales through leading and supporting a global sales team.  This includes managing all aspects of the employee life cycle for Account Executives and Industry Representatives. This role defines and refines ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles, sets sales territories, and defines resource needs in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations.

What You'll Do:

Set sales territories, define resource needs, and collaborate with internal and external resources to fulfill those needs
Establish annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for the assigned industry, aligning with overall business and company strategies
Participate in customer interactions to support the sales team in retaining existing business and driving new business growth
Set quarterly performance expectations and coach, train, and align employee performance across global interaction centers to achieve product line objectives and targets
Participate actively in recruiting and employee lifecycle management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks
Provide training to develop sales skills and capabilities within the team
Define and refine ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or other related discipline
Experience in a businesstobusiness sales organization or 5+ years of equivalent technical sales experience
Experience with customer and territory management
Sales and/or leadership experience with a strong desire to develop a professional career
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong telephone, active listening, consultative selling, problemsolving, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills; CRM and/or other database experience highly desired
Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks
Goaloriented with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership capabilities, and sound decisionmaking skills

This is a hybrid role in Bellevue, WA or The Woodlands, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $113,920  - $142,400 annually.
  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
