About This Opportunity

Directs the daily and strategic operations of the organization’s international payroll services function. Ensures pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations at state, federal and international levels. Responsible for the productivity and development of the international payroll services team.


Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning, direction and goal setting for the department and functional area in collaboration with senior management.
  • Establish policy, practice, and procedure around pay practices that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Oversee all payroll, payroll tax, time & attendance and shadow payroll.
  • Drive high performance, strong customer focus, and service-oriented culture.
  • Define/implement/maintain and continuously enhance standard operational process/procedure.
  • Monitor customer and user needs, expectations and key business drivers.
  • Recruit/train/develop talent and resources within the department.
  • Coordinate/consult with external service providers and monitor their performance against respective SLAs.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Implement/maintain/review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Manage special HR projects including M&A, payroll transformation/integration, carve-ins and carve-outs.
  • Facilitate and oversee payroll audit activities.
  • Manage escalations.
  • Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 10 years of demonstrated domestic and international payroll/management experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS/Payroll systems knowledge.
    • Experience with Workday, UKG and/or ADP/Celergo preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel.

  • Demonstrated professional judgement and problem-solving competence and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify strengths and areas for improvement in team members to manage/develop/produce best possible results in team performance.

  • Collaborative approach to cross-functional and payroll adjacent projects and workstreams.
  • Transfers and applies knowledge in various contexts.
