These professionals may be involved in areas such as drug development, regulatory affairs, supply chain management, marketing, or business development on a global scale. Their work ensures that pharmaceutical products meet the varying legal and quality requirements of different countries and are accessible to patients worldwide. Global Pharma professionals often collaborate with teams across multiple regions and must stay informed about international healthcare trends and compliance standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a global pharma professional, and why are they important?

Job description

Senior Account Executive
Hybrid Full-time
London Boston Luxembourg
Helical is building the AI-native lab for biology - replacing slow, costly wet lab experimentation with scalable, virtual discovery. Our platform is already deployed with leading global pharma, enabling teams to run millions of experiments in days, not years.
We're hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive new business across leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
This is a strategic enterprise sales role focused on landing new logos, owning complex sales cycles, and turning initial opportunities into long-term, multi-program partnerships. You'll sell into scientific and technical teams across discovery, computational biology, data science, R&D, and executive leadership.
You will:
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Land new logos across pharma and biotech
  • Build and manage a strategic enterprise pipeline
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Engage with scientific, technical, procurement, and executive buyers
  • Translate Helical's AI-native biology platform into clear customer value
  • Partner with founders, product, science, and customer teams
  • Help refine sales messaging, qualification, and go-to-market playbooks
  • Represent Helical at industry events and customer meetings

We're looking for someone with:
  • Proven enterprise sales experience as an AE or Senior AE
  • Track record of closing complex B2B deals
  • Experience selling into pharma, biotech, life sciences, healthcare, AI, data, or scientific software markets
  • Strong new business/hunter mentality
  • Ability to engage credibly with technical and scientific stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, qualification, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
  • Interest in how AI is transforming drug discovery and biological research

What we offer:
  • Product already deployed with leading global pharma
  • High ownership and direct impact
  • Close collaboration with founders and senior leadership
  • Opportunity to shape the commercial motion of a category-defining AI biology company
  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits
