Familiarity with regulatory compliance systems, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and certifications such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) are typically required. What are pharma companies?

Pharma companies, short for pharmaceutical companies, are organizations involved in the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of medications and medical treatments. These companies play a vital role in healthcare by creating drugs that prevent, treat, or manage various diseases and health conditions. They must adhere to strict regulations to ensure the safety and efficacy of their products. Some of the largest pharma companies operate globally and invest heavily in research and innovation.

What are some common challenges faced when working at a pharmaceutical company, and how can new employees prepare for them?

Working at a pharmaceutical company often involves navigating strict regulatory requirements, managing complex cross-functional projects, and adapting to rapid changes in scientific research and market needs.
