Job description

Who We Are

AI is changing how software gets built. Code production is becoming a commodity. The focus is shifting from writing code to specifying, orchestrating, verifying, and governing change - and the toolchain is the new constraint.

We are at the center of this shift. We build Develocity, a toolchain observability and intelligence platform used by some of the world's leading software organizations - Netflix, Airbnb, Spotify, SAP, major global banks, and hundreds more. Develocity helps software teams achieve delivery excellence through deep observability, build and test acceleration, and AI-powered intelligence across the entire toolchain - with support for Gradle Build Tool, Apache Maven, sbt, npm, Python, and Bazel.

We are an AI-native company. AI is not a feature we're bolting on - it's central to how we work, how we think about our product, and where we're heading. Develocity encodes a decade of build and test expertise into a context engineering layer: the ground truth AI agents need to change code safely, and the governance to attribute and gate that change at machine speed. Trust, evidence, and explainability are at the core of everything we build.

We have partnered with the Apache Software Foundation, the Commonhaus Foundation, the Micronaut Foundation, and other OSS projects such as Spring, Quarkus, Kotlin, JUnit, AndroidX, and many more to bring the values of Develocity also to the OSS Community.

Our Values

Seek to Understand: Everything starts with listening and understanding, and we strive to understand different viewpoints, problems, and motivations. Before we take action, we ensure we truly grasp the challenges, perspectives, and goals.

Know the Why: We approach our work with a clear sense of purpose, ensuring every step is deliberate and focused. We take meaningful action with urgency, but never at the expense of thoughtful consideration.

Innovate & Iterate: We embrace challenges and are not afraid to try new things, even if they might fail. With deep understanding and a clear purpose, we can develop creative and bold solutions to tackle challenges.

Own the Outcome: We are empowered to take initiative and we maintain transparency in our work and its outcomes. When we execute, we take responsibility for our decisions, measure the success of our innovations, and learn from the results.

Who You Are

You'll co-own the operational backbone of the People team and be a trusted first point of contact for employees worldwide. Our team is small, close-knit, and highly operational: we run the full employee lifecycle across multiple countries and legal entities, so everyone owns real scope end to end.

You'll own the day-to-day execution that keeps our people processes accurate, compliant, and on time, and back up interview scheduling for our Lead Technical Recruiter during busy hiring cycles.

This is a hands-on, detail-heavy role for someone who spots the thing that needs doing and simply handles it. You'll be part of a distributed, remote-first team that values asynchronous communication and written documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Own new hire onboarding, from customized plans with hiring managers through day-one introductions.
  • Keep our ATS, HRIS, and connected tools accurate, and run regular audits.
  • Run logistics for All Hands, Learning Days, and team-building events.
  • Manage engagement and pulse surveys, and help the team synthesize the results.
  • Own the training calendar with our People Partners, from scoping needs through materials.
  • Produce live training sessions and administer our LMS, including compliance assignments and completion reporting.
  • Automate and simplify our workflows using AI tools.
  • Act as first-line support for employee questions on training, onboarding, and events.
  • Coordinate interviews across time zones.
Minimum qualifications
  • 1-3 years in People Operations, HR, payroll, or a related administrative role, ideally somewhere fast-paced, global, or remote-first.
  • Hands-on HRIS experience and a natural systems aptitude - you pick up new tools quickly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and real pride in accurate data.
  • A proactive, ownership mindset; you follow through without being chased.
  • Polished written communication, with meaningful working-hours overlap with US and European colleagues.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and ambiguity in a growing company.
Preferred qualifications
  • Multi-country or multi-entity payroll and global employment compliance (e.g. Switzerland, Ireland, or other EU markets).
  • Recruiting coordination or interview scheduling in an ATS, preferably Greenhouse.
  • Equity administration (Carta), or working with a PEO or EOR provider and international tax offices.
  • Experience at a software, SaaS, or developer-tooling company.
  • Use of agentic AI tools in your daily workflow to increase productivity and output.
  • French (professional working proficiency or better) is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Real ownership of the programs that shape how it feels to work here.
  • Breadth across payroll, benefits, equity, and compliance that associates at larger companies rarely touch.
  • A People team that treats automation and good tooling as part of the job.
  • Work from home in a remote-first environment.
  • In-person meetings, such as our annual company offsite and team meetings.
  • Competitive salaries and equity grants.
Compensation

The US salary range for this position is $75,000-85,000 which reflects the target ranges for all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by geographic location and additional factors including but not limited to experience, relevant skills, qualifications, seniority, and performance. Our recruiting team can share more information about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

Location

Remote from the US East Coast or the United Kingdom. While our team works remotely and is spread across the globe, we deeply value daily interactions and collaboration.
