The Logistics Analyst is responsible for optimizing logistics costs and improving supply chain financial performance through data-driven analysis and process improvements. This role identifies inefficiencies, evaluates transportation spend, and delivers actionable solutions while supporting sourcing, network optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working cross-functionally, the analyst ensures cost-effective, compliant, and reliable logistics operations by leveraging strong analytical skills and influencing decisions with clear insights.
This position reports to the Manager, US Order Management and is part of the Phenomenex Operation's Team located in Torrance, CA and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Independently verify and analyze complex domestic and international shipments across multiple modes, ensuring compliant, efficient end-to-end execution and proactive resolution of operational challenges.
  • Analyze freight spend, carrier performance, and network efficiency to deliver data-driven insights and implement cost-saving and service improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean/DBS methodologies, optimizing logistics processes, systems while proactively embedding Trade Compliance into processes.
  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies while mitigating logistics risks, acting as the central point of contact to drive timely resolution of trade compliance and logistics risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and drive strategic initiatives, including carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, and carrier performance reporting to leadership.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree required in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or other field.
  • Several years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain analytics or related.
  • Advanced data analysis skills; strong proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, drive results, and effectively communicate, present, and engage stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive structured execution and measurable results by solving problems, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and effectively planning and coordinating work across teams.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and TMS platforms.
  • Prior experience managing projects.

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
