Job description

Title: Training Coordinator
Company: Global Power Components – www.globalpowercomponents.com
Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Position Summary:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for delivering and supporting workforce training programs that help employees develop the skills, knowledge, and capabilities needed to be successful at Global Power Components. This role conducts new hire orientation, safety-related training, operational training, and other workforce development programs as business needs evolve. Working closely with HR, Safety, Operations, and department leaders, the Training Coordinator serves as a hands-on facilitator who helps ensure employees are trained, qualified, and prepared to perform their work safely and effectively. This position plays a key role in supporting workforce readiness, employee development, operational excellence, and a positive onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery & Facilitation
  • Facilitate new hire orientation programs
  • Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training programs across a variety of topics
  • Conduct safety, compliance, operational, and workforce development training as assigned
  • Lead equipment-related training and qualification programs as applicable
  • Support the development of training content, presentations, job aids, and instructional materials
  • Adapt training methods to meet varying learning styles and workforce needs
  • Promote employee engagement and active participation during training programs
Workforce Development
  • Partner with Operations, HR, Safety, and department leaders to identify training needs and skill development opportunities
  • Support workforce development initiatives designed to improve employee capability, performance, and retention
  • Assist with onboarding, cross-training, upskilling, and career development programs
  • Reinforce company policies, procedures, quality standards, and operational expectations through training activities
  • Provide coaching and support to employees during training and onboarding periods
Compliance, Safety & Qualifications
  • Deliver required safety and compliance training programs
  • Support qualification, certification, and training renewal processes
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and company training requirements
  • Assist in identifying training opportunities related to workplace safety, quality, and operational effectiveness
  • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
Training Administration & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, certifications, and qualification documentation
  • Track employee training completion and follow up on outstanding requirements
  • Assist with training metrics, reporting, and workforce development analytics
  • Support audits, inspections, and recordkeeping requirements related to training programs
  • Ensure training documentation is organized, accurate, and audit-ready
Continuous Improvement
  • Solicit feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve training effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to enhance onboarding, training programs, and learning materials
  • Support the ongoing development and expansion of GPC's Workforce Academy initiatives
  • Assist with special projects and workforce development initiatives as assigned

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience in training, workforce development, learning and development, safety training, operations training, HR, manufacturing, or a related field 
  • Experience facilitating classroom and hands-on training programs 
  • Strong presentation, communication, and public speaking skills 
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences and create a positive learning environment 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Experience maintaining training records and documentation
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and organizational levels
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
