Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Agent (Day Shift)

Job Location: Plainfield, Indiana

As a Warehouse Agent you will be responsible for performing all tasks associated with warehousing and distribution including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, labeling, loading/unloading, and inventory control.


The available shift for this role is Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates forklift, pallet jack, and associated warehouse equipment to load, unload and move freight within the warehouse
  • Trained and certified to safely handle dangerous goods (as applicable)
  • Trained and certified to safely handle life science and healthcare shipments
  • Conducts staging of freight
  • Conducts handling of IWS freight
  • Conducts cleaning of warehouse
  • Conducts dimensioning and weighing of freight
  • Completes forms, logs, and other documentation as required
  • Drives productivity improvement measures with the warehouse team
  • Efficiently works with various warehouse systems


GXP Responsibilities:

  • Process Life Science and Healthcare Shipments
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in full compliance with GXP guidelines
  • Completes pre and post shipment tasks
  • Conducts review of shipping containers and reefer trailers to ensure conformity and compliance with established regulations
  • Handles goods within the required temperature range as defined in cSOP/documentation including correct storage
  • Report deviations to warehouse management and support investigations
  • Report non-conformities to warehouse manager
  • Perform pre-conditioning, buildup, and breakdown of ULDs, active, and passive temperature-controlled packaging


Skills / Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of scanning freight in/out of the warehouse
  • Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Able to walk/stand/kneel for long periods of time and lift 40-50 pounds occasionally
  • Fork lift experience
  • Reach Truck experience is a plus
  • Experience with hazmat/dangerous goods and temperature control is a plus
  • Warehouse management systems (WMS) experience is preferred
  • Warehouse and / or Freight Forwarding industry experience strongly preferred


Pay Range: $19.39 - $25.85/hr. (Based on Experience)
