This role sits within the international freight forwarding space, supporting the movement of ocean and import shipments from origin to final destination. Job Description
As a Global Forwarding Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of international shipments and providing high-quality service to internal teams, customers, and third-party partners. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting global forwarding personnel with reporting and data integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Understanding the end-to-end international shipping process, from purchase order through delivery of cargo at the ultimate destination.
- Assisting global forwarding personnel and third parties with inquiries and problem resolution.
- Generating, filing, and maintaining accurate customer records, reports, and shipment documentation.
- Providing tracking and tracing services for customer shipments.
- Supporting and backing up delivery and turnover activities.
- Performing load audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Providing reporting and documentation collection support to global forwarding personnel while safeguarding customer data integrity.
- Ensuring adherence to customer SOPs, government agency regulations, and internal company standards.
- Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned based on team and country-specific requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) โ site-specific requirement.
- Background experience in logistics, ocean/import operations, freight movement, dispatching, trucking, drayage, or related transportation work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous working experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
