Position Summary:

Develops, implements, and maintains a commodity inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain. Evaluates market conditions in order to maintain inventory levels and control costs. Evaluates and recommends vendors. Manages ongoing relationships with suppliers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop a commodity technology roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities
  • Be responsible for AVL for commodity managing supplier selection, qualification and price negotiation
  • Manage all aspects of new supplier bring-up including database management inanERP systems
  • Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology
  • Work closely with Lead Commodity Manager to collaborate with Engineering to influence technical design decisions to meet expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectives
  • Interface with Planning and Program Management to assess current and future sourcing requirements
  • Help drive quarterly executive business reviews of strategic sourcing plan that defines, among other things, market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives
  • Maintain expertise/knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements and competitive landscape
  • Travel periodically to supplier's manufacturing sites
  • Support our OEM supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, VMI/JIT, lead-time reductions and favorable payment terms.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to manage cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of raw materials - resins, metals (tooling) and cost drivers associated with them
  • Project or Program management skills

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field

Experience:

5+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment

5+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management

Global supply chain experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

Compensation Range$92,324.28 - $126,945.32

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
