Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain, the Director, Global Sourcing leads global sourcing strategy and supplier selection, development, and performance across a complex, international supply base. The role provides strategic leadership to geographically dispersed teams in the United States and Taiwan and is accountable for cost optimization, supply continuity, supplier capability, and operational effectiveness.
The Director partners closely with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance to create and align sourcing strategies with business growth, margin objectives, and product lifecycle needs. This role requires strong judgment, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic global markets.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership
  • Define and execute the global strategic sourcing roadmap across a diverse portfolio of products and suppliers.
  • Lead complex sourcing initiatives, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Apply lifecycle cost and cost-modeling tools to support fact-based sourcing and pricing decisions.
  • Drive sustainable cost savings through strategic sourcing levers, including competitive bidding, value management, volatile commodity cost and tariff scenarios, and supplier development.
  • Ensure sourcing awards align with strategy and deliver optimal total cost outcomes, including new product development.

Supplier Management & Risk Mitigation
  • Manage a global supply base with annual spend exceeding $200M.
  • Establish and govern supplier performance frameworks covering quality, delivery, lead time, cost, and launch readiness, in partnership with Quality and Operations.
  • Lead supplier risk assessment and mitigation activities, including dual sourcing, regional diversification, and continuity planning.
  • Develop strategic supplier partnerships that support innovation, capacity flexibility, and long-term value creation.
  • Ensure supplier capability and readiness to support early-stage development and product launches.

Global Team Leadership (US & Asia)
  • Lead a global sourcing organization across the United States and BrassCraft Asia (Taiwan).
  • Provide effective cross-cultural leadership that drives collaboration, accountability, and performance.
  • Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and coaching.
  • Foster a results-oriented culture focused on execution discipline, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Governance
  • Partner with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance to align sourcing strategy with product and business priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on supply markets, cost trends, global supply risks, tariffs, commodity cost trends, and cost and timeline improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to sourcing governance, standard work, and performance management practices.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Finance to own Working Capital Accounts Payable days and Inventory Days through the optimization of supplier payment terms and lead times.
  • Partner with Masco Corp Global Supply Chain and sister Masco Business Units to develop and deploy Sourcing best practices for maximum return.

Digital Enablement & Continuous Improvement
  • Leverage ERP systems and sourcing tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision quality.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure sourcing effectiveness and financial impact, including Purchase Part Variance (PPV), Total Cost Productivity, and supplier launch timelines.
  • Identify, coach, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline processes and improve supplier performance. Develop team members to identify and solve problems as well through the application of the Masco Operating System (MOS)
  • Leverage clean sheet (should-cost) methodologies to identify cost-out opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership in global environments.
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience, including leading experienced teams and setting clear performance expectations.
  • Demonstrated success improving execution efficiency and decision quality within complex organizations.
  • Experience leading international supplier networks, including direct engagement with overseas suppliers.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment in matrixed organizations.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Solid financial acumen, including cost analysis and margin impact awareness.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (JDE or equivalent) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in global sourcing or supply chain leadership roles.
  • Experience leading Asia-based sourcing organizations, preferably including Taiwan.
  • Track record of strengthening execution effectiveness and operational agility in mature organizations.
  • Experience navigating supply chain disruption, cost volatility, and shifting business priorities.
  • Experience leading enterprise or multi-year cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Advanced experience with digital procurement tools or analytics platforms, especially focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence to define and deliver value to the business.
  • APICS, CPIM, CPM, or similar professional certifications.
