Lead, Manage, and Drive Accountability (LMA)

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sourcing team through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, and professional development.
  • Manage team priorities, resources, and performance to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Drive accountability across the sourcing function by setting measurable goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring ownership of results.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement within the sourcing organization.


Supplier Identification & Selection

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support business objectives, cost targets, and innovation goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to assess supplier capabilities, competitiveness, and risk.
  • Build and maintain a diverse and reliable supplier network aligned with company sourcing strategies.


Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

  • Develop and sustain strategic supplier partnerships focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and performance.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews based on key metrics such as quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supplier issues and ensure alignment with business priorities.


Supplier Contract Management & Price Negotiation

  • Oversee supplier contract creation, negotiation, and execution to ensure favorable commercial terms and compliance with legal standards.
  • Lead complex price negotiations that drive cost efficiencies while maintaining supplier quality and reliability.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams to mitigate contractual and operational risks.


Purchase Requisition Administration

  • Manage the purchase requisition and approval process to ensure timely, accurate, and policy-compliant procurement activity.
  • Implement and monitor procurement systems, controls, and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all purchasing aligns with financial controls and audit requirements.


Supplier Knowledge of Portfolio Categories

  • Maintain deep understanding of assigned portfolio categories, including market trends, pricing dynamics, and supplier capabilities.
  • Provide category expertise to support business planning, innovation, and product development efforts.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that balance cost, quality, and supply assurance.

Requirements

We need this seat to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of sourcing experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Asia based factories is a necessity (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Viet Nam, Thailand). Knowledge of sourcing in Europe, Turkey, Mexico, Indonesia, and India is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian retailer's housewares categories.
  • Current or previous sourcing and product development in electric and non-electric housewares- kitchen products.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with sales, marketing, and/or merchandising personnel.
  • Advanced skillset with all Microsoft programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and ERP's
  • Mandarin speaking skills are a plus.
