Manager - SAP Commodity Solutions - Enterprise Operations & Risk

Deloitte's Enterprise Operations & Risk practice is seeking an SAP Commodity Solutions Manager to help commodity-intensive clients modernize trading, logistics, settlement, and risk operations through SAP-enabled transformation. This role focuses on leading business process improvement and implementation efforts across the commodity trade lifecycle, with emphasis on SAP Commodity Solutions, commercial optimization, and operational performance. The ideal candidate brings experience leading client workstreams, translating business requirements into SAP-enabled solutions, and driving measurable outcomes across downstream and adjacent commodity markets.

As an SAP Commodity Solutions Manager on the Enterprise Operations & Risk team, you will be responsible for...

  • Lead SAP Commodity Solutions workstreams across the commodity trade lifecycle, including Trade capture, Supply Chain processes, Pricing, settlements, and controls
  • Advise clients on SAP-enabled process design across trading, logistics, inventory, finance, and settlement operations for downstream and adjacent commodity sectors
  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design & build, testing, deployment, and process improvement activities aligned to business objectives and program timelines
  • Analyze commercial and operational data to identify optimization opportunities, quantify business value, and support margin improvement initiatives
  • Translate Business related functional and technical requirements into S4 Design and Build roadmap
  • Develop executive-ready deliverables, solution materials, and pursuit assets while mentoring junior team members across engagement delivery
  • Lead a global team for large scale engagements and maintain client relations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 6-8 years of experience implementing, advising on, or supporting SAP Commodity Solutions, SAP Commodity Management, or commodity trading platforms within commodity-intensive industries
  • Good understanding around S4 O2C, P2P, RTR is required to be able to drive the complex integration areas
  • Experience leading workstreams across the commodities trade lifecycle, including deal capture, scheduling or nomination, pricing, settlements, and market or credit risk exposures
  • At least 2 end to end S4 Implementations done. Preferably for for Oil and Gas Industry or Agri Industry
  • Experience leading SAP-enabled transformations across trading, logistics, inventory, finance, and settlement operations for downstream oil & gas or adjacent commodity sectors
  • Experience leading client stakeholders, cross-functional delivery teams, and executive-ready analyses or presentations across implementation or advisory engagements
  • Ability to travel 75%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Commodity Management, Agricultural Contract Management, or commodity pricing capabilities
  • Experience integrating SAP with commodity trading and risk management, logistics, market data, settlement, or finance solutions
  • Experience with SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Finance, or Transportation Management in support of commodity trading operations
  • Experience with one or more commodity markets, including power, natural gas, crude or refined products, liquefied natural gas, metals, or agriculture
  • Experience with mark-to-market, valuation, or scenario analysis
  • Experience supporting proposals, pursuits, or business development activities in a consulting or advisory environment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500 to $265,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
