Pay Rate: 18-22 hourly

Position Summary

Alpine Communication, LLC is seeking a GIS Technician to maintain datasets and perform basic GIS tasks in support of permitting, pole audit, and drafting operations across the company. This position is office based and does not require field work.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain project databases through digitization and quality control (QC) checks.
• Maintain project trackers by updating weekly production.
• Support other departments through fulfillment of data conversion and map creation requests.
• Support development of processes and workflows by staying informed on industry software, tools, and techniques.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field with major coursework in GIS or Geography.
• Experience: 1-2 years
• Skills:
 o Reliable, accountable, and able to meet deadlines.
 o Excellent attention to detail and diligence.

 o Ability to communicate and work well both independently and as part of a team.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with and knowledge of ESRI’s suite of products including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and Field Maps.

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity and knowledge of python, SQL, arcade.
• Experience and knowledge pertaining to the utilities and telecommunications industry.
• Familiarity and knowledge of QGIS
