GI Tech

Surgery Center of Boerne is hiring a GI Technician

Welcome to Surgery Center of Boerne

Situated just north of San Antonio. We have 3 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology, General, Orthopedics. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

GI Tech at Surgery Center of Boerne

The GI Technician/Endoscopy operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and GI technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties of the GI technician include managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and handling various clerical tasks.

Qualifications

  •     High School Diploma or equivalent
  •     Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Lab
  •     Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred
  •     Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
