Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, youโ€™ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked 
  • Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself 
  • Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety 
  • Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care 

Qualifications you will need:

  • One year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***online certification not acceptable
