JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to develop and create compelling, audience-first thought leadership that earns attention, builds trust, and advances Vertafore’s core brand narratives in market.

This role requires a strategic content creator who can translate complex ideas into sharp, differentiated storytelling across executive thought leadership, earned and owned media, long-form content, campaigns, visual storytelling, and digital experiences.

The ideal candidate knows how to interview SMEs and executives, uncover the real insight beneath surface-level talking points, and create content that feels credible, useful, and genuinely worth reading. They are equally comfortable ghostwriting executive bylines that stand up to editorial scrutiny, shaping campaign messaging, building long-form content, or developing narrative-driven content opportunities tied to industry conversations and business priorities.

The Senior Content Marketing Manager must combine strong editorial instincts with excellent hands-on execution. They spot emerging industry conversations and identify opportunities for Vertafore to contribute a differentiated perspective across channels and audiences. They can develop distinctive executive voices and produce high-quality content with speed, consistency, and strong editorial judgment.

The right candidate is also highly comfortable using AI tools and GPTs as part of their workflow to improve research, efficiency, optimization, consistency, and content quality. They should understand modern SEO and AI-driven search best practices to inform content discoverability.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

·         Develop strategic thought leadership: Identify industry conversations, narrative opportunities, and executive perspectives that strengthen Vertafore’s market position and brand storytelling.

·         Create compelling editorial content: Write and develop high-quality blogs, reports, campaigns, awards submissions, scripts, and digital content that translate complex ideas into credible, differentiated storytelling.

·         Ghostwrite executive content: Partner with executives and SMEs to develop thought leadership and earned-media content that meets editorial scrutiny.

·         Scale narratives across formats and channels: Extend core content into experiences across social, blogs, infographics, video, and digital content.

·         Champion brand and editorial quality: Act as a senior advisor to uphold and evolve Vertafore’s voice, messaging, tone, and editorial standards.

·         Lead awards submissions: Manage the company’s awards program, including identifying opportunities, coordinating stakeholders, developing submissions, and leveraging wins to reinforce Vertafore’s market leadership and brand positioning.

·         Use AI strategically: Leverage AI tools and GPTs to improve workflow efficiency, consistency, and content quality while maintaining strong editorial judgment.

·         Optimize content for discoverability: Apply SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) best practices to improve content visibility.

Collaborate across teams: Partner with Brand, PR, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Creative, and Digital teams to support content goals.
