Job description

Description
SENIOR MANAGER, FIELD MARKETING
REMOTE, ANY ALLOWABLE STATE
Egnyte is a place where we spark opportunities for amazing people. We believe that every role has a great impact, and every Egnyter should be respected. When joining Egnyte, you're not just landing a new career, you become part of a team of Egnyters that are doers, thinkers, and collaborators who embrace and live by our values:
  • Invested Relationships
  • Fiscal Prudence
  • Candid Conversations

ABOUT EGNYTE
Egnyte is the secure multi-cloud platform for content security and governance that enables organizations to better protect and collaborate on their most valuable content. Established in 2008, Egnyte has democratized cloud content security for more than 22,000 organizations, helping customers improve data security, maintain compliance, prevent and detect ransomware threats, and boost employee productivity on any app, any cloud, anywhere. For more information, visit www.egnyte.com.
The Big Picture:
Egnyte is looking for a Senior Manager of Field Marketing to lead our Horizontal go-to-market efforts. This team handles the vital 30% of our business that sits outside our industry verticals (Architecture, Engineering & Construction, Financial Services & Life Sciences).
In this role, you will be a player-coach. You'll lead the strategy for the horizontal segment while also managing a team that acts as the centralized planning and operations hub for the entire Field Marketing organization. You will work closely with the Head of Field Marketing to ensure our global programs are cohesive, our planning is synchronized, and our virtual event engine is supporting the whole company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
1. Horizontal Strategy and Execution
• Finding the right focus: Since horizontal is a broad category, you'll work with Sales, Product Marketing, and Leadership to figure out which specific industries we should double down on. You will help us move from a catch-all approach to a targeted strategy based on where we see the most growth.
• Running the plan: Once those spots are picked, you will execute. This involves picking the right trade shows, hosting Egnyte events, and working directly with Sales to turn event conversations into a measurable pipeline that actually closes.
• Working with the Channel: You'll partner with our Channel team to find ways to use our partner network to expand our reach, so we don't always need an Egnyte employee at every single regional event.
2. Centralized Planning "The Glue"
• Fixing the process: We need help with standardization. You will lead the centralized planning rhythm for the team, creating the shared calendar and playbooks that ensure our horizontal, vertical, and virtual activities are all in sync.
• Event-in-a-Box: You'll develop standardized frameworks that the whole team can use to keep our quality consistent, no matter who is running the event.
3. Driving Growth through Tech Levers
• Implementation and Growth: Egnyte is investing heavily in our tech stack, including tools like Splash, Cvent, Outreach, and iCapture. You will lead the charge on making sure these aren't just extra admin tasks but are actually used as levers to drive better engagement and faster lead follow-up.
4. Team Leadership and Budget
• Managing and Mentoring: You'll lead a team of two who are already doing the work: a Field Marketing Manager focused on horizontal strategy and the tech rollout, and a Virtual Event Lead who runs the virtual event engine for the entire company.
• Budget Ownership: You will oversee a significant budget. We need someone meticulous about where the money goes, ensures our forecasting is accurate, and can prove the ROI on what we're spending.
• YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience: You have 8 -10+ years in Field Marketing. You've done this before, and you have managed a team for at least a few years.
• A "Hub" Mentality: You're great at centralized planning. You are the type of person who sees how all the moving parts of a multi-vertical team should fit together.
• A Systems Mindset: If you see a messy process, your first instinct is to build a template or a workflow to fix it. You enjoy organizing the chaos of field marketing into a repeatable system.
• Practical with Tech: You know your way around Salesforce, event platforms, and tools like Outreach. You see them as tools to get a job done and a way to drive more growth.
• Great Communication: You can talk strategy with a VP to identify new sub-verticals, but you are also fine rolling up your sleeves to make sure a launch actually works.
• Focus on Results: You're comfortable with the numbers. Terms like pipeline sourced, cost per op, and conversion velocity are part of your daily vocabulary.
COMPENSATION:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $125k - $140k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
BENEFITS:
  • Competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits
  • Flexible hours and generous time off (RTO, Responsible Time Off) to help support your work-life balance
  • Paid holidays and sick time
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan (Traditional, Roth and Mega Backdoor Roth)
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with a generous employer contribution
  • Up to 12wks of paid Parental and 10wks Adoption Leave to help you grow your family
  • Modern and collaborative offices located in Draper, UT; Raleigh, NC; Mountain View, CA; Reading, England, and Poznan, Poland
  • Gym, cell phone, and internet reimbursement
  • Free well-being apps such as Spring Health for Guardian are offered, as well access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Perks include discounted pet insurance, electronics, theme park tickets, travel, plus more
  • Your own Egnyte account with lifetime access
