• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific psychological and emotional needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on the unique emotional challenges posed by aging, bereavement, and life adjustments.
• Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to improve emotional well-being, utilizing evidence-based practices in geriatric counseling.
• Engage with families and support staff to educate them on effective strategies that promote client engagement and quality of life.
• Offer specialized grief and loss counseling to clients and their families, addressing end-of-life issues and facilitating healing during difficult times.

This role primarily targets the geriatric population, encompassing a diverse range of clients facing various psychological challenges related to aging. Our clients often deal with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, and the stress of transitions that come with aging. • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in geriatric counseling and mental health services is essential.

• Demonstrated current experience in delivering mental health interventions to elderly clients, with a focus on addressing a range of mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities specifically utilized in geriatric care.
