• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying specific emotional and psychological care needs.

As a Remote Geriatric Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily serve elderly clients who are often facing severe emotional and mental health challenges related to aging, including chronic illness, loss of loved ones, and significant life transitions. Our clientele comprises a diverse range of backgrounds, requiring counselors to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and a commitment to personalized care that recognizes each individual's unique life experiences and challenges.

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in geriatric mental health counseling and support services.
• Training or specialization in geriatric mental health and issues related to aging.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices for mental health care in aging populations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills tailored to connect and engage with elderly clients effectively.

• Previous experience delivering remote counseling services via telehealth modalities.
• Demonstrable knowledge of ethical and legal standards relevant to geriatric counseling.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic approaches commonly effective with older adults.
