This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing our counselors to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes while ensuring a supportive workspace continues to thrive. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts to meet patient needs. You will be working with a team of experienced geriatric psychiatrists and mental health professionals, providing an enriching collaborative atmosphere.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the complex needs of older adults, taking into account their mental, physical, and social well-being.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect an understanding of cognitive changes and psychiatric disorders prevalent in geriatric patients.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family counseling, focusing on conditions like depression, anxiety, and dementia-related issues.
• Work in close collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic treatment approach, integrating various aspects of patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during mental health emergencies for elderly clients, ensuring that immediate needs are met effectively.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, guiding them through available treatment options and community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular team meetings and case discussions, contributing insights and sharing knowledge with peers.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in geriatric psychiatry to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Your focus will be primarily on geriatric patients, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues that typically arise in older adults. You'll work with individuals coping with depression, anxiety, dementia, and transitional challenges. Understanding the unique needs of this population will be crucial for effective intervention and support.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Active licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred, focusing on geriatric mental health.
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices and interventions specific to older adults, with an emphasis on evidence-based treatments.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
• Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient management and documentation of patient information.
• A collaborative mindset, ready to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care for our clients.

• Experience providing therapy to older adults, particularly those addressing complex geriatric mental health disorders.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available to elderly patients.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
