• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of older adults, ensuring a thorough understanding of their emotional, cognitive, and physical health challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect a deep awareness of each patient's life history, cognitive abilities, and social circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy, providing essential support for geriatric psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to facilitate integrated and holistic care approaches.
• Deliver crisis intervention strategies for elderly patients encountering mental health emergencies, coordinating with emergency services if necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community resources to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic process.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaboration, foster professional development, and share insights into best practices.
• Continuously stay updated on current research and advancements in geriatric psychiatry to ensure the highest standards of care are upheld.

The primary patient population for this role includes elderly individuals experiencing a range of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related conditions, and adjustment issues stemming from life transitions. • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Arizona is required.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience working in mental health, ideally with a geriatric focus.
• Extensive knowledge of geriatric mental health issues, including familiarity with best practices and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience in providing individualized and family therapy aimed at older adults.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with elderly clients and their families.
• Competency in using electronic health record systems and related software.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic, particularly with geriatric patients.
• Prior involvement in crisis management and intervention.
• Participation in community outreach programs targeting mental health awareness among seniors.
