Overview

Due to ongoing growth in our European business, we are now looking for an experienced EIA / Permitting Consultant to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. This position will be highly suited to an enthusiastic and driven early career environmental consultant, ideally with experience in the mining, industrial or infrastructure sectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead or support environmental permit applications (tillstandsansokningar) for industrial, infrastructure, energy, mining, or waterrelated projects, ensuring alignment with Swedish environmental legislation.
  • Depending on your level of experience - business development, including securing new clients, fostering long-term client relationships, and proposal preparation.
  • Attending or leading meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Depending on your level of experience - task management, including planning and executing projects, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring quality and client satisfaction, and driving profitability.
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals that reflect innovation and technical excellence.
  • Depending on your level of experience - mentoring or leadership of junior staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Managing work to meet contract schedules, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and high standards of care.
  • Occasional fieldwork 
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field of study.
  • Advanced degree in a similar field of study. (desirable but not essential)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience working as consultant in the contaminated land, energy / renewable energy, mining, industrial or infrastructure sectors (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (required)
